We have been raising wooly donkeys since 2007 and have built an exclusive herd with excellent temperments, quality conformation and bites, small size, lots of colors, diverse pedigrees, and of course hair!

We started with the very best of the best wooly donkeys by traveling around the country to different farms and hand-picking the herd and we have not stopped!

Our donkeys have excellent stocky conformations, pretty heads, great bites, and sweet temperaments. We try to produce show-quality donkeys that have the added bonus of color, size, sweet temperments, and beautiful hair.

Our primary goal is to create TOP QUALITY super wooly donkeys. We are also working to diversify the pedigrees of wooly donkeys while downsizing toward the micro-mini sizes without compromising conformation or bite.

We do not hesistate to geld our jack foals that we do not feel are top notch breeding quality. Honesty, to the best of our ability, is always our policy.

All of our donkeys are also our pets and members of our family. We hope that those we chose to sell can become members of your family too.

There are approximately 350 wooly donkeys registered with The American Donkey and Mule Society (the main donkey registry in the US) out of around 60,000 registered miniature donkeys! They are truly exotic, rare, and wonderful!

We keep our website up to date with current sale donkeys as well as new foals so check back often. We have experience in shipping our donkeys throughout the US and internationally and are happy to help assist you in arranging ground transport or international transport. We are always happy to help you find additional donkeys if we do not have what you are looking for currently.

Wooly Donkeys

Our wooly program focuses on donkeys of ALL colors. We have a soft spot for the spots. We currently have two micro miniature jacks standing at stud and one immature herdsire prospect. All of our breeding jacks are under 30" tall with excellent conformations, perfect bites, unique pedigrees for a wooly, and extremely sweet temperments. You can see them on our Jacks page.

We put as much effort into picking our girls as our jacks so that all of them are capable of producing breeding and show quality foals. We have lots of jennets with pedigrees that stray from the common wooly donkey pedigrees. Many can be seen on our Jennets page.

Stay A While Farm has moved to SW West Virginia. We are now on Three Falls Farm, a beautiful 400 acre farm nestled in the Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia.

We are easy access about 30 minutes from I-77 or from I-64.
